Mixed Blessings Bakery

Goodbye Mixed Blessings Bakery...

Hello everyone! I am officially announcing the closing of Mixed Blessings Bakery. Surprising, I know, but word of mouth really has its way of spreading around, and I’m not able to handle the stress of running a business at this time. But that’s not the main reason why I’ve decided to stop.

I have always wanted to be a nurse. In fact lately I’ve been looking into becoming a missionary nurse. I think it would be amazing to travel, help people, and talk about Jesus at the same time! But I’ve had so many cakes that my school work is suffering, and the whole situation has become too hard for me.

I know a bunch of you wanted me to “go big” and start a business, but I don’t think that’s what God has for me. I liked it when I just got this spontaneous idea to “decorate a cake!” and so I did! I really enjoyed that. So I will be taking down my website, changing the name of my Facebook page to Madison’s Cakes or something like that (so that people can still look without being my friend) and I will only be doing cakes every once in a while for fun.

For those of you who already have cake orders scheduled, don’t worry, I will definitely make those for you! And it will be fun! But after that I don’t plan on making cakes any more after that.

This doesn’t mean the end of my cake decorating- I still plan on making fun, crazy cakes every once in a while and entering into local competitions. I just won’t be taking orders.

Mixed Blessings Bakery has truly been a blessing to my life for the last year and a half, but it’s time to make a change. Thank you all so much for supporting me! If you have any questions feel free to ask.
